Sunset Tsunami is the sonic collision between South London's Sideway and Auckland's Buckwheat, who together create "the bastard child of warehouse dub and industrial house” Mixmag.

Since they dug themselves out of the underground in 2020, their breed of bass-heavy electronica has terrorised sound systems across two hemispheres. Of their latest EP - Dub Till Dawn - The Tonify says "the kind of record that makes your internal organs rearrange themselves... in the best possible way."

LIVE SHOWS: Their performances have become legendary for raw, uncompromised energy: Sideways, perpetually masked and mysterious, layers warped samples while Buckwheat, wild-eyed and frantic, manipulates bass frequencies that threaten the integrity of the building.

The past year Sunset Tsunami have been extensively touring their "Warehouse Weapons" live show across Europe, leaving a trail of blown speakers and structural damage reports in their wake. These notorious "pop-up" performances in abandoned factories and condemned warehouses have earned them both a devoted following and several noise violation citations.

RECORDING/RECODING: Currently holed up in The Jungle working on their 2nd EP "House for the Holy," Sunset Tsunami continues to reject conventional approaches to music production and distribution. Limited white-label pressings can be found in select record shops with back rooms and no signs, by word of mouth, or at their shows. For booking inquiries (venues with solid foundations only) or to attempt to track down their releases, follow the trail of blown speakers or ask around in your local IRL record store.
